Town Timber Harvesting Ordinances Many towns have ordinances that place restrictions on timber harvesting and other activities. These restrictions must be followed in addition to any state or other restrictions. Sometimes permits are required and a fee must be paid to the town before any harvesting can take place. You must always check with the town to make sure that my website contents are up to date. I try to keep this site up to date, but towns can adopt new ordinances that I am not aware of.
